As a primal health coach I have the inside scoop on Primal Kitchen. Both were created by former triathlete Mark Sisson. As we say in the primal health world “listen to the Sisson.” He knows a thing or two about healthy aging after years of wrecking his body with conventional approaches to health and fitness.
You can find Primal Kitchen in stores. Why does this brand matter? They don’t use any seed oils. The products are clean.
They were acquired by Heinz in recent years so I’ll be keeping a close eye on them, but as of this writing they’re some of the cleanest condiments you can buy.
Everything in the picture above I have purchased and I buy regularly. The only product I’ve tried and didn’t like was the Alfredo sauce. It’s dairy free and whatever they thicken it with makes it kind of slimy and gross.
Their pasta sauces look good but I can find pasta sauce in most grocery stores, in a glass jar (it matters), with clean ingredients for about 1/2 the price of Primal Kitchen. So there’s that.
Because they use cleaner ingredients (real food) it’s naturally more expensive because our food system is broken. Our government subsidizes the crops that wreck our health making them cheaper.
