To add another supporting detail to this fantastic list, I believed for decades that my overeating was caused by lack of will power or that I was "eating my feelings." Now I realize that this is a big myth. My overeating was caused by a moderate to high-carb diet. Greetings from another (mostly) carnivore woman!

Hello my meaty friend!

Yes, there's a lot of nonsense out there I think designed to keep people stuck. When people are stuck their health tends to decline and they become profitable and controllable. Thinks like the blatant lie on the Coca Cola refrigerator at the checkout line saying, "balance what you eat with what you do." It's such a lie. Then these things are reiterated in TV shows and movies. I'm convinced everyone in Hallmark land has diabetes. And then there's the first page of any web browser search that's filled with nonsense for anyone who asks how to get healthy.

I'm really not a cynic. I just think that no one should lose their health from the simple and necessary act of eating. Born in the 70's I'm old enough to remember America before everyone had a health something or other. It just fires me up.

So true -- there are so many lies in our popular culture about health and food. And I was born in the 70s as well!
